In September 2012, while going to the World Press Photo exhibition, I discovered the photo of Guillaume Herbaut, a photo of Inna Shevchenko topless, arm raised in a suburb of Kiev. I found the symbolism very strong : this woman, topless, reclaiming her body and the aesthetic codes to denounce sexism.
The next month I found out that she had just moved to Paris to start a Femen branch in France. I contacted to meet them. From the first meeting, they made it known their desire to have a photographer to communicate on each of their actions. I started taking pictures of them in practice, in action preparations and in direct actions. I followed them during 4 months, from October 2012 to January 2013.
